My name is Emanuele Rolfo and I am a wine producer in Roero, the hilly region North of the Tanaro river, in Piedmont. The passion for oenology started with my grandparents, who transmitted it to my mother and my father and later to me and my wife Cesira. With her, in 2000, I decided to create a new oenological reality called Ca’ di Cairé.
Our days follows the rhythms of nature and of the cellar, and we dedicate them to the pursuit of the purity and simplicity of our wines. Ca’ di Cairé is the liquid expression of our consistency and of our love for our territory.
THE VINEYARD
Our autochthonous vineyards are cultivated with Nebbiolo, Barbera and Arneis grapes, on 7 hectares of land in the commune of Montà and on soil of different compositions, from sandy to clayey and pebbly.
The vineyards are situated on the gentle slopes of the Roero hills, with good exposure to the sun. Thanks to the favourable climatic excursion and the sandy soil rich in fossils, we obtain fragrant and aromatic white wines, whereas clayey and gravel mixed soils support intense and strong red wines with good equilibrium.
WINES
In addition to classic wines (for instance Roero Arneis, Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo and Roero Riserva), we produce wines without sulphites added.
