Sallier de La Tour is one of the five estates of Tasca d’Almerita family in Sicily.
We are located within the designated DOC Monreale territory, an area with ancient roots in winemaking and a territory rich in history and agricultural expertise.
The road that leads to Sallier de La Tour is not merely a road, but rather a magical thirty-kilometre trail that begins in Palermo –crossing rolling hills, lush valleys, and imposingmountain ranges, onwards through the Jato Valley, and ushers us into this silent kingdom.
It’s a charming corner of Sicily which traces its origins to the nearby Monreale, an Arab-Norman jewel and UNESCO world heritage site, and whose ancient and powerful Diocese reached its maximum splendour in Norman times.
We reach Tenuta Sallier de La Tour, where time is not measured, but revered; where the land is not dominated, but cared for.
The pleasant combination of sunlight and the sea breeze from the nearby Gulf of Castellammare makes Sallier de La Tour a land of wonder.
Nature has blessed us with an ideal microclimate for winemaking and an enchanting landscape for those who want to savour it.
Here you are welcomed and embraced by vineyards and the reigning queen is Syrah. This varietal’s eastern origins coexist harmoniously with the native Sicilian varietals Nero d’Avola, Inzolia, and Grillo. Each has a unique personality.
We have designed different types of tasting experiences in this delightful setting: 3 itineraries to discover our estate’s wines and 3 more to discover the wines within the world of Tasca d’Almerita, which cultivates beauty on four other Sicilian estates. Everything is accompanied by local products, which naturally come from our land.
