Instructor: Owner Fred Whitlock. This hands-on class will cover the basics of wheat flour, natural and chemical leavening and working with doughs. We'll make a fresh loaf of Italian Bread as well as some Cloverleaf Dinner Rolls using fresh yeast. We'll explore the world of quick breads as we make an Irish Soda Bread and a batch of muffins. The times needed to make yeast breads will require us to do some of the work ahead, but you'll get a chance to handle some dough, to be sure. Class level: beginner. Class style: hands-on.
