At the end of the 19th century (1885), an enterprising man in love with the world of wines, Salvador López López began with the wines produced in his own wineries the journey of founding wineries for the production, elaboration, aging and commercialization of wines whose fame spreads throughout the world, such as Malaga wines.
A few years later, in 1896, his brother Francisco López López joined (who became mayor of Málaga), after whose union – knowing their great gifts as tough men in the struggle and tireless workers, they received the affectionate nickname “Los Leones”- launch 3 major brands: Málaga Virgen, Sol de Málaga and Trajinero.
With the passage of time, old and new generations are taking over with the same purpose and idea of making the company bigger, producing Malaga wines of the highest quality, and differentiated from any possible competitor.
Today, the family winery with more than 130 years of history, is being managed by the fourth generation and little by little the fifth is entering. There are 35 wines currently produced under the Malaga and Sierras de Malaga Denominations of Origin, with Malaga Virgen being the leading brand and product in the National Market and Sol de Malaga in the International Market.
