Casa Vinicola Pietro Nera and Azienda Agricola Caven are both wineries owned by the Nera family, historically present in Valtellina for 4 generations.

Owners of 28 hectares of vineyards, located in the most suitable areas for the production of Valtellina wines with DOCG denomination, they carry on a long tradition that began as early as the end of the 1800s.

The two companies distinguish themselves not only for the production numbers but also and above all for the style in refining the wines, traditional for the Casa Vinicola Pietro Nera (use of large Slavonian oak barrels) and more modern for the Azienda Agricola Caven (use of small French oak barrels). All the wines produced come from the Nebbiolo vine, locally called “Chiavennasca”, vinified in red but also in white and rosé, demonstrating the fact that it is a very interesting and versatile vine.
