A few kilometers from Alba, on the left of the Tanaro, in the heart of the Roero, lies the town of Castagnito.
Right here in the historic center is the family-run winery ‘Cascina Goregn’ by Allerino Gaudenzio. The name Cascina Goregn, in particular Goregn, is not accidental: in Piedmontese it means ‘to be tough’, strong. This name was given to Grandfather, born in 1898, so since then we have been known as the Goregns.
The love and attachment to this land and in particular to the vine and its fruits, is highlighted through a strict control of the vineyard, where an excellent base for great wines is guaranteed. The vineyards are in the best locations in the country, al sorì to select the best grapes.
The cellar is undergoing renewal both in terms of technologies and structures; it will be a gradual process to allow us to maintain the excellent quality and typicality of the products but at the same time adapt our cellar to the most modern technological products.
