Under the shade of ancient oak trees that in the eighteenth century already added pleasure to the Venetian nobility’s sorties into the countryside, at a stone’s throw from the River Piave, the Zanotto family, custodians of Gambrinus for generations, are ready to welcome you. Caressed by the fresh abundant waters of the River Lia, within centuries-old walls, this restaurant, a member of the prestigious circuits Chateaux et Gourmet and Locali Storici d’Italia, provides attentive and cordial hospitality to the tourist and wine-lover in a territory where the land produces sweet fruit. And then, like all towers and castles worthy of the name, this one also hides a secret, that of the creation and maturation of a unique liqueur: Elisir Gambrinus; a surprise for the palate and pleasant solace for the heart..
Huddled in the rock, in the most secluded area of Parco Gambrinus, oak casks preserve the secrets of ancient recipes and the treasures of the Zanotto family. Here the temperature is checked year after year to ensure it is kept at the constant 10-12 degrees needed to mature liqueurs, grappa and especially Elisir Gambrinus, the exclusive, world-famous liqueur with its delicious hints of marasca cherries and blackberries.
