Quinta do Convento de São Pedro das Águias is situated in the Távora Valley and has been integral to the Douro’s history. It dates back to the 12th century when Cistercian Monks settled on this estate in Tavora. The Cistercian monks created many of the structures you see at the convent today and contributed to the start of wine growing in the region. In addition to its history as one of the oldest producers in the Douro, the Quinta do Convento de São Pedro das Águias extraordinary terroir sets it apart from other estates. The Quinta is a reference for port wines and DOC Douro.
