To the north of Lake Balaton, right at the foot of Somló Hill, the estate awaits guests with a stylish bistro and wine bar, quiet rooms and wine programs.
Due to its tiny but very special terroir (the whole Somló region is less than 600 ha) and the local grapes like Furmint, Juhfark Olaszrizling and Hárslevelű, Kreinbacher is proud to offer distinctly unique wines and sparkling wines. Organic viticulture is also among our core values. We pay great attention to the state of the plantations (vineyards), the biodiversity and replanting of the vines. The estate covers 60 hectares of vines and in addition to this, the team harvests grapes from another 30 hectares each year.
Regarding sparkling wines, Kreinbacher benefits from the heritage of méthode traditionnelle, the expertise of our consultant from Champagne and the Coquard presses which ensure the quality of our base wines.
The winery and sparkling wine cellars were inspired by the former lava flows and basalt rocks of the volcanic mountain, the buildings have become iconic and merged with the image of Somló.
Above all this, Kreinbacher offers accommodation for its guests. Our rooms with a unique atmosphere await those who want to explore Somló.
