Musella is situated in the Valpolicella Zone, on the hills of San Martino Buon Albergo, at the gates of Verona, one of the most beautiful and self-contained estates of the Veneto region, in a secular park of 400 ha of forests, little lakes, old houses, Olives trees and 25 hectars of vineyards.
The careful recovery of a sixteenth-century courtyard has transformed rural homes into farm holidays and the old stables into a wine-making and aging cellar, the careful recovery of a sixteenth-century courtyard has transformed rural homes into farm wine-holidays and the old stables into a wine-making and aging cellar.
The great passion, professionalism and long experience of the family allow the ancient wine-growing tradition,with the particular microclimate of the estate, to continue at its best; the care of vineyards and ethic choices in the cellar have the ambitious goal of enhancing the typicality of the Veronese grape varieties. Respect for nature, charm and taste of details are the main characteristics of the atmosphere that you breathe while staying at Musella;
30 years ago Mr Emilio Pasqua di Bisceglie left his parents wine business and bought a part of the Musella Estate. With his passion and his vision involved all his family in this ambitious project and now all of us are proud and happy to share the enthusiasm for Musella and its developing in the Biodynamic direction.
Maddalena Pasqua di Bisceglie, his daughter, since 1995 helps and learns many different wine making aspects with her father and In 2009 she introduced the Biodynamic method in Musella vineyards and cellar and follows this project with great enthusiasm.
Enrico Raber, Maddalena’s cousin, he joined in 1999 and he immediately shared our passion for Musella. He follows mostly the technical side, but as for the rest of the family, he is involved in every decision of the business.
Our task is to be the ambassadors of what Nature developed here. We like to do it especially through the wine, it clearly talks about the richness of life it has around, always respecting the important wine tradition we have here in Valpolicella. We apply a natural process, both in the vineyards and cellar, so we work in 100% chemical free (no weeds killers or any kind of poison or chemical product on the vines and def no selected yeasts or any kind of wine artificial product in the wine, too).
Since 2009 we apply the Biodynamic agricolture method in the vineyards, so we follow with the same philosophy in the cellar too. We try to do our best to respect the natural grape development, simply assisting it with love and care, in order to keep as much as possible the original integrity of our soil.
