Podere La Marronaia is a farm located in San Gimignano (Siena) in the heart of Tuscany. It was established in 2000 thanks to the enthusiasm and will of the new farm owners, the Dei family, to start a new life project. The farm has maintained its family-run character over the years, with the recent entry of sons Pietro and Corrado. The company consists of 2 farms: Podere La Marronaia and Podere Le Colonne.
The origin of Podere La Marronaia dates back to the Middle Ages, as testified by the old watchtower, the central nucleus of the farmhouse. The Podere is surrounded by Sangiovese vineyards that make Chianti Colli Senesi wine and olive groves that make extra virgin olive oil, all strictly organic since 2000. Podere Le Colonne consists of the Vernaccia vineyard, an olive grove, the wine cellar, and the rooms for tasting our products. The facility has a large hall on the ground floor and private rooms for exclusive tastings. The large garden with a view of the towers of San Gimignano, the surrounding countryside, and the proximity to the historical center make Sosta Alle Colonne an easily accessible and ideal place for those who wish to enjoy a tasting experience in peace and tranquility. Podere La Marronaia and Podere Le Colonne, both already organic, have been also converted to biodynamic agriculture.
