SassodiSole winery is a family owned business. It is situated in a unique area within north Valley, which has recently been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 10-ha vineyard is located 300 meters above sea level, and it is south and south- west facing.

Our vineyard grows the native Sangiovese vine, which is grown using the spur- trained, cordoned method, following the authentic techniques and traditions of the Montalcino agronomic community in an organic way.

The Terzuoli family has always wanted to achieve the very best quality for its own products according to the key-principles of the Montalcino community. To this extent the family is proud to carry out a careful manual selection of grapes, before ageing in 3500-5000 litre Slavonia oak barrels.

In the early days of the business, the Terzuoli began to plant the Sangiovese vine for the first time, although their main activity remained grain and legumes. They educated their only child Roberto to follow the same principles of passion and respect for nature and the ground on which he was raised.
