Our Story

Azienda Agricola Tattoni Villa a Sesta Spa is located in the enchanting scenery of the Sienese hills, in the village of Villa a Sesta, of ancient Etruscan origins, located in the heart of the Chianti Superiore near the sources of the Sienese Ombrone, is an ancient and picturesque village on the provincial road of Chianti between San Gusmè and the Castle of Brolio, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga (Siena).

Villa a Sesta is a corner of paradise nestled in the countryside between Siena, Florence and Arezzo, where art, history and nature coexist harmoniously. The territory rich in medieval villages, parish churches and castles is evidence of an ancient civilization. Here authenticity is at home starting from the village and its inhabitants.

The new cellar recently built with its 5,000 square meters represents the perfect fusion between innovation and tradition. It offers technological systems and represents the most modern system of a wine making cellar for controlled temperature fermentation. The aging of the wines takes place exclusively in French oak barrels and barriques.

The property extends over more than 1,100 hectares of land, 50 of which are specialized vineyards. The predominant cultivation is the Sangiovese grape, the main basis for the Chianti Classico wine. The composition of the soil, its slope, altitude, sun exposure, ventilation, particular microclimate and grape selection are fundamental elements for achieving the quality of Villa a Sesta wines.
