Our Story

Travignoli’s success and longevity marks it as one of the 150 most antique enterprises in Italy, with our vineyards having a long history in wine cultivation dating back to the Etruscans in 500 BC.

In the 1800s the villa complex is owned by the Fiaschi family but, after the marriage between Sofia Cuccoli Fiaschi and Count Francesco Busi, Villa Travignoli becomes part of the Busi estate.

Today the Busi’s property is extended for 90 hectares of which 70 are vineyards (from which we produce Chianti Rufina, Chianti Rufina Riserva, one Supertuscan, a white wine, a Rosé Dry, a Sparkling Rosè and our Vinsanto del Chianti Rufina) and the rest 20 hectares are olive trees (from which we produce our Extra Vergin Olive Oil) and forest.

We are in Chianti Rufina, the smallest region of production of Chianti at 25 Km away from Florence.
