Together with her parents Franz and Christine Netzl, Christina vinifies profound wines with a strong character and rich in finesse from the family’s own vineyards around Göttlesbrunn, in the heart of the Carnuntum region. The family winery emerged from a mixed agricultural farm around 1860. Constant striving for the highest quality both in the vineyard and in the cellar characterizes the last generations and let the winery grow to its current 30hectares of vineyards. The personal goal as a member of the Austrian traditional wineries is to work out the uniqueness and typicities of the individual grape varieties with a focus on their origin. Above all, they focus on the characteristics of the most important single vineyard wines. The basis are of course the vines and therefore the cultivation of the vineyards organically certified. While Franz contributes his experience, his knowledge and tradition, Christina provides new ideas and innovations – in short, they complement each other perfectly and it is precisely this combination that forms the unmistakable basis of Netzl wines.
